v  Utility services in Bricelyn are provided by various agencies. 

o   Alliant Energy provides the electrical services within the City.  They can be reached by calling 1-800-255-4268. 

o   Bevcomm provides telephone and cable television services.  City information is posted on the Cablevision channel.  For more information call 653-4444.

o   The City contracts with Waste Management for their garbage service.  They will pick up the colored garbage bags every Thursday morning.  Bags must be on the curb by 7:30 am.  The City does offer a spring clean-up day, which will be announced.  This is for items other than normal garbage.  There is a fee for the spring clean-up items.

o   Waste Management also does a curbside pick-up for recyclable items on the second Thursday of each month.  Also, a permananet recycling site is located on the West side of the Community Center.  PLEASE DO NOT place garbage or other unwanted household items at this site! You can call the City Office for more recycling instructions.

v  Water, sewer and recycling bills are sent out the beginning of every month.  Payments can be made in person at City Hall, placed in the drop box located in front of the building, or by mail at PO Box 338, Bricelyn, MN  56014.  If you have a checking or savings account at the State Bank of Bricelyn, you can also have your bill automatically withdrawn from your account, contact the City Office for more information.  Current rates:  water-14.17, sewer-25.08, and recycling-1.75, for a total of 41.00/month.  There is a 10% penalty charge on balances that are past due.

Sump pumps, foundation drains, or other sources of surface or ground water should not be connected to the Sanitary Sewer system in the City of Bricelyn.  These illegal connections can overload the sanitary sewer system and cause a backup of the system during periods of heavy rain.
